Natty Fanzawa

I am Natty Fanzawa — psychologist, art therapist, Kundalini Yoga teacher, spoken‑word artist and multidisciplinary creator. For several years, I have been developing a unique approach at the crossroads of art, spirituality and ecology.

Originally from Madagascar and born in Senegal, I have been dancing since childhood. From an early age, I drew, staged small performances for my family, and found in creation a natural language. During my psychology studies, therapeutic writing became a deep companion, while I explored visual arts such as oil pastels, collage and painting.

My encounter with Mandingo dance and Afro‑contemporary movement in 2002, in Strasbourg — particularly with Jean‑Louis Gadé — marked a decisive turning point. In Brussels, I immersed myself in an intensive, semi‑professional dance practice. In 2009, I took part in Alioune Ba’s creation Tukki and performed on stage with the dub group African Head Charge at the Reggae Geel Festival.

In 2022, I presented my first solo exhibition, The Paths of Healing, combining paintings, drawings, installations and video. I also offered a performance blending spoken word, electronic compositions (Ableton Live) and movement. Self‑taught, I discovered Ableton during the Covid period before training with Electrafrique.

In 2025, I formed the duo NGA‑FAN with musician Rass Nganmo.

Today, I create performances that weave together poetry, movement, visual arts, meditation and music with fluidity. My work explores the deep connections between humanity, the living world and the sacred, offering powerful and transformative artistic experiences.
